There were six of us who decided to go for a trek in the Annapurna Circuit. From the first email conversation, through to the start when we arrive at the airport, we were greeted with warmth and hospitality. At all stages of the journey, we were made aware of what to expect, what to do, suggestions, and things that we need to prepare for the trek. Sanjib(our guide), and the two porters (hari Gopi and Kamal) were the best that we could ask for. Sanjib was very experienced, calm, attentive and took care of everything throughout the trek (literally everything, food, shower, accommodation, other needs etc). He was very knowledgeable of the country, the region and the terrain and would share stories of Nepal with us and we felt that we are in safe hands throughout the course of the trek even though we were ascending at least 700m each day. The porters were also extremely helpful and we did not even have to worry about them at all. The duffel bags always arrived at the accommodation at about the same time that we arrived. They would put the bags in the room and show us to the room each time. From them, we even learned how to play Nepalese card games. All of us have difference fitness levels and this was not a problem for Sanjib at all. He offered to carry some of our day packs and through the harder sections of the trek he also arranged for the porters to carry some of the day packs even though they did not need to do it. This certainly made the ascend to Throng La at 5416m easier for some of us.
